About Maria
Growing up, reading, spelling, and English didn't come naturally to me. I know exactly what it feels like to stare at a page of text and feel completely overwhelmed, or to dread spelling tests because the words just wouldn't click.
But I didn't let those difficulties hold me back. As a 17-year-old, I spent years pushing myself, experimenting with different learning styles, and developing my own unique strategies to master the very subjects I used to struggle with. Today, I don't just understand English, reading, and writing—I understand the journey of learning them when they feel impossible.
I wanted to become a tutor because I know how much of a difference it makes to have someone in your corner who genuinely gets it. My goal is to show students that struggling right now doesn't mean they can't excel later.

My lessons are designed to be a completely judgment-free zone where we focus on building confidence alongside reading, spelling, and writing skills. Because everyone learns differently, our very first session will be all about figuring out what works best for you—whether that is visual tools, creative memory tricks, or interactive reading games.
During our sessions, we will:
Break down confusing spelling and grammar patterns step-by-step.
Practice reading comfortable, interesting texts at a pace that works for you.
Play interactive word games to make vocabulary and literacy actually feel fun.
Work on creative writing exercises to help you find your own voice.
You won't get stuck doing boring, repetitive worksheets here. Instead, you'll get highly personalized, patient support and practical strategies from a tutor who has been exactly where you are and knows how to help you succeed!
