About Katie
Hi! I’m Katie — a certified teacher with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, an Associate’s in Early Childhood, and 7 years of classroom experience working with little learners. I’m also a mama of four and a big believer in helping kids feel successful, confident, and excited to learn. I specialize in early learning and love working with Pre-K through 2nd grade students. My teaching style is hands-on, playful, and highly individualized. I use songs, movement, games, and real-world connections to help kids not only understand what they’re learning — but actually enjoy it. If it feels like play, they’re learning the best way! Whether your child is just starting school, needs help catching up, or could use a confidence boost, I meet them right where they are and gently guide them forward. Outside of teaching, you’ll find me raising kids and animals on our little farm, making homemade breads and butter, collecting eggs and running a small business from home — life is full, a little wild, and beautifully rewarding. If you’re looking for a tutor who understands real life, real kids, and how to bring learning to life — I’d love to work with your family!
