About Robert
Having completed a bachelor's degree in Social Science and graduate studies in English Literature, I’ve taken a lifelong interest in literature and politics, striving with the basic question about the human condition: why do we do what we do? Why do we believe what we believe? Currently, I teach in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I thrive on the experience of the one-on-one tutoring setting and hope to inspire a student’s curiosity and interest in learning.

All great teachers nurture their students. Your summer reading list tutor should do so as well. All lessons I offer will include a broad discussion of a book’s plot, themes, and genre, as well as reader-friendly reviews or analyses of any given text. Whenever relevant and useful, we’ll review any of the many lenses that a book can be interpreted through (i.e., literary theory). I look forward to sharing my love of, and enthusiasm for, literature and reading.
