About Dominique
I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident in what they’re learning. I have a background in English and education, and I focus on making lessons clear, supportive, and personalized to each student.
I’m patient, dependable, and always prepared to meet you where you are academically. Whether you need help understanding a difficult concept, improving your writing, or simply building stronger study habits, my goal is to help you feel capable and comfortable every step of the way.
You don’t have to know everything before you start—that’s what tutoring is for!

Hi! I’m Dominique! My goal as a tutor is to make learning feel less overwhelming and a lot more approachable.
I like to break difficult topics into simple steps, use examples that actually make sense, and adjust lessons to the way you learn best. A typical lesson starts with what you’re working on or struggling with, then we’ll work through it together until you feel confident doing it on your own.
I’m patient, easygoing, and believe there’s no such thing as a “stupid” question. My lessons are great for middle school, high school, and beginning college students who need help with English, reading, writing, essays, grammar, literary analysis, or general academic skills.
Most importantly, this is a judgment-free space to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace!
