About Emylie
Hi! I’m a substitute teacher with experience in elementary and middle school classrooms. I’m also a mechanical engineering student currently working on my pilot’s license. I love helping students make sense of math and science by connecting lessons to real-world examples and breaking problems into manageable steps. My approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I aim not only to help students succeed academically but also to build confidence and a love of learning.

I make math and science approachable by using real-world examples and step-by-step problem-solving. Each lesson starts with a review, introduces new concepts clearly, and ends with practice to reinforce learning. I tailor my approach to each student’s needs, helping elementary and middle school students build understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills. My experience as a substitute teacher and background in mechanical engineering allow me to bring both practical insight and technical knowledge to every lesson.
