About Brij

I am an intellectually curious student, currently studying Economics at the University of Warwick. I have had a lot of experience in teaching A level students in this subject as it was my personal favourite at school, proven by achieving the highest A* in the year group. From my own experience of studying A level Economics as well as by tutoring other students, I believe that the subject is best taught by walking students through the logical steps needed to understand key concepts, and then by applying this theoretical knowledge to the real world.

I will give students a series of resources to read through before a lesson and then go through these during the session. After the session I will ask students to complete some tasks in their own time. A part of my teaching methodology includes going through any school work a student asks.

I have a wealth of resources that are tailored to the exam. Being able to draw upon relevant and useful resources is the most important factor that determines a student's final grade. I believe that every student understands economic concepts in different ways and therefore needs a well-structured plan to truly grasp the knowledge and understanding required to get a top grade.

Further to this, my strong interpersonal skills will ensure that the student will be fully invested in learning the content and getting the most out of each session. I am always available to be contacted before and after sessions if the student has any questions or requires guidance.

As someone who has recently been through the whole process of studying for A levels and preparing University applications I will be able to provide a detailed insight into the technicalities of succeeding in whatever the student is looking to achieve. This also includes valuable support into writing UCAS personal statements, another area in which I have had a lot of recent experience and success.
