About Ace

Hello! I'm a student at Duke University, where I'm studying policy—a field where what you say and write truly matters. In my free time, I pursue my passion for acting.

Growing up with immigrant parents, I've personally experienced the challenges of mastering the English language. I understand how crucial it is to have a strong command of English and the confidence to use it effectively. This perspective drives my commitment to helping others achieve fluency and clarity in their communication.

Whether you're looking to improve your diction, grasp essential grammar rules, or gain confidence in your English skills, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. Let's work together to unlock your potential and achieve your goals!

About the lesson

Teaching Method and Techniques:
Focus on Diction: I emphasize the importance of being clearly understood over speaking quickly or using a vast vocabulary.
Purposeful Practice: Lessons are designed to include purposeful repetition and practice, ensuring you internalize correct pronunciation and grammar.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up: Short exercises to get you comfortable and ready for the session.
Diction Practice: Focused exercises on pronunciation and clarity.
Grammar Review: Brief overview of key grammar rules relevant to the lesson.
Interactive Activities: Engaging activities such as reading aloud, conversation practice, and role-playing.
Feedback and Review: Constructive feedback on your progress and areas for improvement.
Homework Assignment: Practice exercises to reinforce what was learned in the session.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
As a native English speaker who had to learn English from scratch in Catholic school, I understand the challenges of mastering the language. This experience has equipped me with unique insights into the learning process, allowing me to empathize with and effectively guide my students.

Who the Lessons Are For:
Degree Level: High school and university students
English Proficiency Level: Beginner to intermediate learners
Class Specificities: Students preparing for exams, non-native speakers looking to improve their conversational English, and anyone aiming to enhance their communication skills.

A student who's been there, has done that. As a student at a top school, I understand how much work goes into making that essay, presentation, or reading right. It it may seem daunting, but there is l
