About Kurt Andrei

I am a student of the University of Asia and the Pacific's 6 Year accelerated Master's program for both my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Political Economics with Specialization in International Relations.

Due to my relatively free schedule and my own love of history, I would like to help those who wish to learn more about history and topics related to it. I believe patience and mutual respect are key to the proper education of individuals. However, while I intend to maintain an air of professionalism in my lessons, I do not wish to be imposing or intimidating. I am open to questions and discussions around particular topics that are either difficult or interesting and will answer to the best of my ability. I appreciate having spirited discussions as seeing and speaking to those with a love of history just like mine is something that I would find enjoyable.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I have a passion for history and many subjects related to it such as politics, economics, and sociology. For my lesson plans, they may be dependent on the needs of the tutee such as with particular modules they struggle with.

These lessons are more useful for junior and senior high school students along with early college students involved around such topics.

Though on a personal level, I feel most knowledgeable in regards to topics such as late medieval, early modern, and modern history. These can range from discussions on the rise of metropolitan Italian City states, the Byzantine Empire, their contributions to the Renaissance, Holy Roman Imperial Politics, the enlightenment, Polish Lithuanian History.

But I also hold understanding of topics around more general economics, sociology, and world history enough to assist those struggling with World History subjects from classical antiquity to post-modern history, albeit far more generalist.

My method of teaching can either a more narrative form with visual aids and narration, a more casual discussion, or a mix of both. By mixing both we can have a structured lesson, while discussing topics that are either difficult or instead interesting to my tutee. I am more than happy to engage in a discussion on topics that my tutee may find interesting even if the pace of the lesson slows as a love of learning is highly important.
