About Kamohelo
I am a second year student at Rhodes University. I am currently studying a BA, majoring in Psychology and English Literature. I am a mentor to a first year student at Rhodes. I have also tutored my younger sibling who is currently in grade 9 and his grades are looking good. I like tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to pass on my knowledge on things I am passionate about, such as English, onto others. I believe that learning never stops and we all learn something new every day whether it is from academics or general knowledge.

I am multilingual and I speak English, isiZulu and Sesotho therefore students can communicate with me in a language they feel most comfortable with and are not obligated to communicate in English. This will make students more comfortable and more open and won’t be afraid to ask questions. I like to first explain to students what the work means then allow them to ask questions on what they don’t understand and take it from there. I will also have slide shows in which students can use at home to go over after the session to understand the work better.
