About Christopher

I decided to work as a tutor for a similar reason why I decided I wanted to teach college classes—because I find no better joy than in being able to help people accomplish their goals. I truly believe all people are capable of doing great work if they are given the right support, and it is my goal in life to provide this support for as many people as I can. I am open-minded, approachable, and professional as a tutor-my aim in my sessions is to make you feel as comfortable with expressing yourself as possible, all with the goal of helping you turn these powers of self-expression into wonderful essays. As an experienced tutor and instructor for college classes, I have had plenty of time to become a good tutor—and I am committed to continuing to become an even better one as I move forward.

About the lesson

I thrive most in helping people write essays of various kinds. I can help you write research papers for your classes, personal statements for applying to colleges and grad schools, senior theses, help you learn how to write a good essay for a standardized test (such as the ACT, SAT, or GRE), or I can even simply help you proofread your papers. I have been successful at writing papers such as these myself, having scored full points on the GRE’s Analytic Writing Assessment and published multiple academic papers, and I have had solid experience in tutoring such forms of writing, having held multiple positions as a reading and writing tutor as well as teaching college classes involving academic writing. I am a proud humanist, and am committed to helping everyone discover their greatest potential and achieve it! Also, coming from a Psychology background, I am committed to making my tutoring sessions a safe, nurturing space for your own self-expression.
