About Parker
I am a current PhD student in physics and I love to teach math and science! I have been tutoring since the second half of my undergraduate degree, 5+ years all together. I focus on helping fellow students master new and difficult concepts and succeed in their coursework and personal interests.

I focus my lessons on the students conceptual understanding of the current topics in their course and their ability to solve complete problems on their own. If you focusing on a specific course, I usually start a session with any specific question you have about topics covered previously, questions from recent lectures, or questions on current course work. I will then review current coursework with the student and discuss problems to gauge their understanding of the topics and their mastery of the associated problem solving tools. With math and physics especially I love to use diagrams and real world scenarios to clarify concepts and relate them to the sometimes obscure vocabulary and notation used in classes. I have studied math and physics for 7+ years and am a current PhD student, so I can draw on many experiences and examples to teach concepts to students in a variety of different ways. I find that the best way to learn new material is to relate back to topics you already know well.
