About Mariah
I am currently finishing my last few credits in a B.S. degree in Music. Though I have mostly a background in music, English has been one of my favorite subjects since I was a child. In high school, I took AP English courses and in college, I took advanced English courses, as well as writing courses. I have written some fiction pieces as well as some poetry pieces that have been displayed.

I currently work in my school district with high school students, so understanding how i teach is very important. My teaching method is to explain, check for understanding, and apply. I'll start with the base level, check to make sure there is a strong level of understanding, and ask my students to apply what they've learned and go from there
