About Melis
I am a student at Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill in my final year. I support independent learning that I have been exploring for the past 3 years. My teaching style is therefore giving the students the tools and essentials they need and let them learn in their own ways. I believe everyone has a different way of learning and enforcing a certain style of teaching is not as efficient. So my teaching style definitely changes depending on the students and their needs. I am currently preparing for my French Baccalauréat exams. I am in the International Option Baccalauréat (OIB) which gives me a profound English literature curriculum (Shakespeare, Jane Austen, poetry...). I have always been in a French education system which I started back in Istanbul before moving to London and going to an international school. I lived in Turkey for 15 years and moved here 3 years ago with my family. I have been playing piano for the past 13 years and passed London College of Music exams (currently in Grade 8). I also am a peer counseller in my school for 3 years and had a psychology and communication training for Primary students. I am the student government president and the founder of a charity club! I love teaching and I am happy to help with all difficulties in these subjects as well as encouraging your love of learning!
