About Gurpreet
I hold a bachelors and a masters in Space Science from York University, Toronto. I worked in the atomic and laser physics group at YorkU, which designed and developed a patent-pending technology for an auto locked diode laser system for high precision metrology. I was responsible for the development of current and temperature controllers for diodes and was involved in characterizing the lasers. I joined the Laboratory for Atmospheric Remote Sounding from Space (LARSS, YorkU) in 2015, where I worked on several grating spectrometers and payload support systems for a Stratospheric balloon flight in Timmins, ON. This was a joint endeavor of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and the French Space Agency (CNES). I was also involved in the high Arctic ground validation campaign of the MAESTRO instrument on-board SCISAT satellite. I also worked on developing technical baselines, and prototype imaging Fourier transform technology for the highly elliptical Atmospheric Imaging Mission (AIM-North mission), which is currently undergoing Phase 0 studies by the CSA and ABB Inc. of Quebec City. I worked at Telops of Quebec City, in the infrared cameras and hyperspectral imagers R&D teams. I recently joined L3 Harris Wescam of Burlington, Ontario as a Manufacturing engineering specialist in the Optics Operations team. I am responsible for ensuring WESCAM's new product is manufacturable and has robust processes through the production lifecycle. In addition, I research on outer Space Sustainability with professor Steven Young of the School of Environment Enterprise and Development, University of Waterloo.

My teaching method is to solve as many questions as possible. I would help the students understand the concepts, and then solve the textbook questions with them. In addition, we will solve questions from other reference books as well for comprehensive learning.
