About Shivom

Hi! My name is Shivom, and I am currently a student on a gap year. Given I have finished my A Level examinations recently, the idea of how to get through exams is fresh in my mind and I know what each student requires for their academic success. Every student has so much potential, and my role is to bring out that potential through inspiration and finding their incentive. I enjoy tutoring because not only do I interact with students who want to excel in their education, but it enables me to provide personal support that helped me during exams. I have experience of tutoring, where I worked with a local large company as a tutoring assistant and provided 1:1 support to students. My role will not only be of a tutor, but will also be of a personal mentor and of a friend :)

About the lesson

Mathematics is definitely one of the most challenging subjects out there, but my lessons aim to make you more confident in the subject so that you can smash those exams! My lessons will be focused on one thing only: practice. It is so so crucial to practise maths to excel in maths. A typical lesson will be 1-2 hours and will be focused on content mastery and practising questions such as textbook and exam ones. A Level maths can be challenging because alongside focusing on the standard pure maths, there will be a focus on statistics and mechanics (applied maths). My lessons will ensure that each of the 3 branches have equal focus because every component of the subject is crucial. There will also be access to my personal notes and exam scripts.
