About Saara
I've worked as an Editor-in-Chief for a publication run through a non-profit aimed towards middle to high school students. I also ran writer workshops, and write articles myself freelance. I also write creative pieces, and have extensive experience in the field. I am also a Kumon Reading program completer, and also won the Ottawa Public Library Awesome Author's Contest. I also debate competitively, this year progressing to a provincial level.

When teaching, I prefer to use the method of becoming friends with my student. It's an undermining experience for a student to feel that they need external help to achieve what they view as the bare minimum, and it's much easier to ask for help from friends rather than strangers. Being closer to their age, I can relate to their struggles and help them without making them feel as if they are being demeaned. I would also like to add that I teach all ages, genders, races, and would love for you to consider me as a tutor!
