About Carrie
I moved to Vietnam in 2016 and taught English for five years to students of all ages and levels. At the start of 2021 I decided to move back to South Africa where I acquired a position as a Foundation Phase teacher (Grade 2 and 3) at a private school in Barkly East, EC. I have experience teaching English, Mathematics, Life Skills and Afrikaans, but specialize in English Language skills. When I am not teaching I take guests out on trail rides on horseback, and also facilitate extramural sporting activities such as tag-rugby, soccer, cricket and volleyball. I hold a 120 hour TEFL certification and am currently studying to obtain a higher advanced diploma in Alternative Education. On request I will be able to supply letters of recommendation by past employers stating my excellency in the workplace and as a wholistic teacher.

Lessons are not only highly educational, but games and activities ensure the students have fun as well and walk away feeling accomplished.
