About Amelia
I recently earned a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Teaching Psychology, graduating at the top of my class. I am building my resume for a professor job at a well-known university, but also love teaching psychology concepts, so here I am! My academic work focused on cognitive psychology, learning, and research methods, giving me a strong foundation for helping students understand complex psychological concepts and academic research.
In addition to my graduate training, I have extensive experience teaching and training adults in professional environments, where I developed the ability to explain challenging material clearly and adapt to different learning styles. My background in leadership development and education allows me to support students not only with course content, but also with study strategies, organization, and academic writing.
I take tutoring seriously and strive to create a supportive, respectful, and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult material. My goal is to help students build both confidence and lasting academic skills, so they can succeed independently in their coursework.

My Approach as a Tutor
My tutoring approach is student-centered and focused on building confidence, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the material. I believe students learn best when they actively engage with concepts, so I guide them through ideas step by step and encourage questions and discussion rather than simple memorization.
