My goal as a tutor is to make math make sense, not just help you memorize steps. I focus on breaking concepts down in a simple, step-by-step way so you actually understand what’s going on and can solve problems on your own.
Teaching method and techniques:
I explain problems clearly and then walk through examples with you. After that, I have you try similar problems while I guide you, so you build confidence. I also adjust how I teach based on how you learn.
Typical lesson plan:
We usually start by reviewing what you’re struggling with (homework, notes, or past exams). Then I explain the concept, go through a few examples, and have you practice. At the end, I make sure you can do it independently and feel comfortable with the material.
What sets me apart:
I’ve been tutoring college students for 2 years, so I understand where students usually get stuck. I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I focus on helping you actually improve your grade—not just get through one assignment.
Who my lessons are for:
I mainly tutor college students taking College Algebra, but I can also help elementary, middle, and high school students with algebra and other mathematics.
