About Myah
As mentioned previously, I recently sat my A-Levels this year and out of all my subjects, English Literature has been one I’ve always been passionate about. The reason why I’ve decided to start tutoring is to genuinely help students believe that English Literature can be enjoyable, rather than just a subject they have to get through. I’m not simply here to tell you what to write but rather to help you understand why something works and how to develop your ideas within this subject. This ensures optimal results and I’ve seen this in myself.

I want my lessons to feel less like a typical classroom and more like having someone who genuinely understands what it’s like to be in your position. I’ve recently finished my A-Levels, so I know how stressful English Literature can feel, especially when you have many ideas but aren’t sure how to turn them into the marks you want.
As I’ve just been through the A-Level system myself, I understand the current exams, what examiners are looking for and the little things that can make a big difference to your essays. I can help you understand why something gets marks, rather than just telling you what to write.
I’m also close in age to my students, which I think makes it easier to connect and create a comfortable environment. I want you to be able to ask questions, make mistakes and tell me when you genuinely don’t understand something without ever feeling embarrassed.
Lessons can include:
* Improving essay structure and argument
* Developing deeper literary analysis
* Using quotations effectively
* Building stronger interpretations
* Exam technique and timing with marked feedback
* Going through essays and improving them together
* Preparing for upcoming exams
Most importantly, I’ll adapt lessons around you — what you’re struggling with, what you want to achieve and what will actually help you improve. Whether you’re aiming for an A, trying to move up a grade or just want to feel more confident, we’ll work towards it together!
