About Sophia

Hello there! I’m Sophia, and I’m currently a senior in high school and your Senior Class President. I’ve previously served as Junior Class President, and being involved in ASB, clubs, and other school activities has helped me develop strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills. I’m passionate about writing and helping others improve their English skills. I’ve completed AP English Language and Composition (AP Lang) and am currently taking AP English Literature and Composition (AP Lit). I’ve also excelled in English on the California State Assessments, which has strengthened my confidence and understanding of the subject. I’ve personally experienced how helpful having a tutor can be. I once had a tutor who helped me become more confident in my own abilities, and now I want to give that same support to other students! As a student myself, I understand how challenging schoolwork can be. I’ll always bring a positive, patient, and encouraging attitude to every lesson while making learning feel approachable and less stressful. Together, we can build your confidence, strengthen your writing skills, and make English a little more enjoyable!

About the lesson

I’m currently a high school senior with strong skills in English and a passion for helping others succeed. As a former Junior Class President and now Senior Class President, I’ve developed strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills that I bring into every lesson. I’ve completed AP English Language and Composition (AP Lang) and am currently taking AP English Literature and Composition (AP Lit). I’ve also excelled in English on the California State Assessments, strengthening my skills in reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis. I’m here to help students improve their reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and overall confidence in English. Whether you’re struggling with an essay, need help understanding literature, or simply want to strengthen your skills, I offer patient and easy-to-follow lessons tailored to your needs. Since I’m a student myself, I understand how challenging schoolwork can be and how important it is to have someone explain things in a clear and relatable way.
