About Cora
With 6 years of experience as a Biology tutor, I have built a strong track record of helping students succeed at GCSE, A-Level, and university levels. My teaching philosophy is centred on clarity, patience, and structured learning, ensuring that every student fully understands the subject rather than memorising content.
Throughout my experience, I have worked with students of varying abilities, including those preparing for major exams and those needing long-term academic support. This has enabled me to refine my ability to explain complex topics such as molecular biology, genetics, evolution, and human systems in a simple and accessible way.
I design my lessons to be interactive and goal-oriented, combining clear explanations with practice questions and real exam-style scenarios. I also focus heavily on exam technique, teaching students how to interpret questions correctly and present answers that meet examiner expectations.

In my Biology tutoring sessions, I aim to transform difficult scientific concepts into clear, structured knowledge that students can confidently apply in exams and coursework. I support learners at GCSE, A-Level, and university level, ensuring each lesson is adapted to individual strengths and weaknesses.
We begin by identifying gaps in understanding, then rebuild core concepts using simple explanations, real-life examples, and visual aids. Topics such as molecular biology, human systems, inheritance, and ecology are taught in a way that makes them logical and memorable.
A strong emphasis is placed on exam technique, including interpreting questions, structuring answers, and applying scientific terminology correctly. Students are regularly guided through practice questions and timed exercises to develop speed and accuracy.
My teaching approach is supportive and patient, encouraging questions and active participation. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to engage with challenging material and steadily improve their academic performance.
