Struggling in Math? I'm a Math teacher tutoring Pre-Algebra (7th-8th grade math) and Algebra I online

Methodology

I focus on closing the gap for students who usually struggle in and/or have fallen behind in Algebra I or the math subjects prior to it, such as Pre-Algebra (7th and 8th grade Math), while helping them build confidence.

After we determine the gaps in the student's understanding, the concepts they missed in prior grades or lessons, we then work on closing those gaps so students gain the proper understanding of the math.

I also make sure students build confidence by providing opportunities for them to experience success during each session!

Experience

I have been working with young people as a teacher/mentor for over 10 years. I have taught high school math for the past 6 years. During that time, I taught Algebra I, Algebra I for Repeaters, Pre-Algebra, Geometry and Algebra II. I have been very effective in helping my students achieve success in their math class, from understanding the material to making incredible gains on their End-of-Course State exams. My students tell me they love the way I break the concepts and material down for them so that they truly understand. Teaching and tutoring is my passion.

Rate for online lessons : $83/h

Rate for 5 hours of lessons : $76

Details

If you need to cancel a session, please contact me as soon as possible, at least 24 hours before the tutoring session. Then, we can reschedule the session accordingly rather than cancelling it.

If your notice falls within that 24 hours before or you completely miss a session without ANY prior notification, you will be charged for the entire session without opportunity to reschedule. I must do this because I have many clients looking for open time.
