About Da'Lauren

Hi, I'm Miss. D — a certified elementary educator, mentor, and guide for K-6 students who just need someone in their corner.

My path to teaching started long before I ever stepped into a classroom. Growing up, one educator changed everything for me. She wasn't just a teacher — she was a mentor who poured enough confidence and love into me that my circumstances couldn't determine my future. I became a teacher because I was once that student — confused, overachieving, but really just needing someone who cared.

That's exactly who I show up as for every child I work with.

I hold dual degrees in Education and Public Health, and I'm certified to teach all general education subjects across early childhood through 6th grade. I bring patience, creativity, and a genuine investment in every student's growth to each session.

I don't just help kids with homework. I help them believe they're capable of understanding it.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Miss. D — a certified elementary educator with a passion for making learning click for every kid. I specialize in teaching K-6 students in all general education subjects including math, reading, writing, and science.

What sets me apart is my ability to spot exactly where a student is getting confused and meet them right there — patiently, without judgment. I don't just reteach the same way louder. I find a new way in that actually makes sense to that specific child.

My lessons are interactive and engaging. I use digital tools like Google Classroom to keep students organized, motivated, and excited about learning — whether we're working through fractions, building reading comprehension, or tackling a tricky writing assignment.

A typical session starts by checking in on what the student is working on, identifying where the confusion lives, then working through it together using visuals, games, and real examples that connect to their world. We move at their pace, not mine.

My lessons are designed for elementary students in grades K-6 who need extra support, are falling behind, or just need someone patient and creative in their corner.
