Who Am I?
I am a Homeschool Mom and Early Childhood Educator with hands-on experience guiding children through their first years of learning. I am passionate about structured literacy, and I have a deep understanding of how children learn to read, write, and spell. My background allows me to blend proven curricula with play, games, and hands-on activities, making learning fun, interactive, and effective.
Why Do I Want to Teach?
I want to teach because I believe every child deserves a strong foundation in literacy — the skills that open doors to confidence, creativity, and lifelong learning. As a homeschool mom, I’ve seen how personalized, engaging teaching transforms a child’s curiosity and love for learning. My goal is to support children at their own pace, helping them develop reading, writing, spelling, and creative expression in a structured yet playful environment.

I’m a Homeschool Mum and Early Childhood Educator, and I use a structured literacy approach in line with the New Zealand Curriculum to teach phonics, reading, writing, and spelling. My lessons are tailored to each student’s pace, style, and needs, helping children build confidence, comprehension, and a love of learning.
I incorporate a mix of proven curriculums and hands-on activities, including games, songs, crafts, and play-based learning, making lessons fun, interactive, and effective.
Whether your child is just starting to read or wants to strengthen literacy skills, I provide a supportive, structured, and engaging environment that encourages growth and creativity.
