About Trudy

First and foremost, I believe that not only listening but 'really hearing' what a student is saying is the most important step when working with a student. Noticing every effort a student makes, no matter how big or small, encourages them to at least have a go, and this also helps in dissipating any fear attached to any learning they may have, whether it be present learning that they are not just getting, or any future learning they may come across. The importance of making students feel good about themselves as learners is always in the forefront of my mind and hence all my lessons are hours of positivity, empowerment and proving to each student just how capable they are in whatever it is they're currently struggling with. Over the years I've witnessed hundreds of times that when learning is delivered to children in a way that they can understand, their eagerness and engagement in wanting to learn has no bounds. Children are learners, that's just who they are and it's up to us, their teachers, to bring them alive as learners.

About the lesson

My programme has been running for over 10 years offline. It's a fun, quick and incredibly effective programme that results in children who struggle with learning times tables to do so within 4 weeks or less. All is needed is for children to practise what they learn in the lessons for 3-6 minutes a day. The lessons are 1 hour in length. My programme is for children aged 7-11. I've been a primary school teacher, teaching in the UK for over 35+ years. I've been running my own offline tutoring business for the past 10+ years. I'm also a Mindfulness Trained Teacher. How a child is feeling emotionally is very important as this has, in my opinion, the greatest impact on how they learn. My belief is, if a child is in a good place emotionally and feels good about themselves as a learner, then academically they shine.

Will provide any materials needed in the lesson. My programme is all about your child soaring in times tables in weeks instead of months and months. Knowing multiplication means being able to confidently complete so many other areas of the maths curriculum.
