About Setiya
I’m a high school senior with a strong passion for science and math, and I’ve earned a 5 on every AP exam I’ve taken and a 1570 on the SAT, including a perfect 800 in Math. Through challenging coursework and my own experience preparing for standardized tests, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the strategies and approaches that help students succeed.
In my lessons, I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring their curiosity, and building confidence. For standardized tests, I emphasize practical test-taking strategies alongside content. For subject lessons, I personalize each lesson around the student’s individual needs, strengths, and goals.
Outside of academics, I participate in Speech & Debate, lead my school’s Environmental Club, and love to write. I’m excited to get to know my students and help them grow!

SAT LESSONS:
- Strategy & Content: Because the SAT rewards both knowledge and strategy, my lessons focus equally on understanding the material and learning efficient approaches to different question types.
- Reading: I teach students to become active readers by showing them how to identify key information, structure, and evidence within a passage in a single read-through.
-Grammar: Through targeted practice, repetition, and easy-to-remember grammar rules, students develop the skills to consistently earn points on grammar questions across both modules.
- Math: I teach students to recognize patterns in SAT Math questions and use Desmos strategically to solve problems more quickly and accurately.
SUBJECT LESSONS (Math/Biology/Chemistry):
- Personalized Instruction: Each lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs, strengths, and goals. I curate the content, practice problems, and discussion of each lesson based on what will be most helpful for that student.
