About Hanaa
Having helped my siblings with school work, at an early age, I always knew I had a knack for teaching. While in med school, I would volunteer to give academic presentations and lectures. Known to be a daunting task, regardless, I'd find myself enjoying the process of preparing and presenting. What further boosted my confidence, was when my fellow classmates would appreciate the lecture and confide that they understood better than when taught by the professor. To say it plainly, I knew teaching was second nature to me. My first actual job was teaching anatomy, neuroanatomy and histology to 1st and second year students in med school. A job I thoroughly enjoyed, was made better by the positive response I received from my students. Academically, I'm an MBBS graduate (done with med school). After graduation I did a year of mandatory clinical internship. After that, I taught for two years in med school. After receiving my PR, I came to Canada and focused on the medical licentiate exams. I have cleared one of two exams so far, and am studying for the next one. Being a student myself, I know how frustrating it can be to struggle with new concepts. But sometimes, we just need a little push in the right direction, to help us get through. My idea of teaching, is having a student tailored approach. I believe every student is different. We all have different strengths and weaknesses. By addressing those, together, we can help navigate challenging phenomena, and make learning a fun activity.

Learning is a lifelong process. Even while we're procrastinating, we're passively learning something new. But it's not always entirely enjoyable. Trust me, I know. But by being acutely aware, and addressing our academic weaknesses, we can turn something sour and laborious into an interesting task. This is where I come in. I'll facilitate and help you identify your weak points. Together we'll visit and revisit challenging concepts, until they become clear. I'll use different tools to help you understand difficult phenomena. By keeping you engaged and involved, let's make learning second nature!!
