About Ana

Since 2015, have been actively tutoring online and in person through various online platforms. I have a Masters in Industrial engineering with specialization in Statistics from ASU.

Currently. children feel overwhelmed due to the availability of too many resources, peer pressure, media over load. Spending time to understand their needs and working with them emphatically has huge impact on their confidence levels and math skills.

About the lesson

I taught Statistics online and in-person for undergraduates since 2014 at ASU. Currently on a break since this Spring to be with kids. Prior to my graduate studies, I've worked for over 3 years at various companies including Intel.

As a graduate student who took a few courses online myself, I am well aware of how online teaching works. Hence I strive to connect and help students get more out of my online tutoring with every session. I regularly conduct office hours via Skype/Google hangout to provide extra help to those in need.

In addition to understanding the concepts well, practice is a key element to succeed in Math and Statistics. Hence my teaching will focus on both these aspects extensively. I've tutored high school students in Algebra, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry and various other topics.

The school system with all the exams and tests can be challenging and stressful for students. I strive to provide compassionate tutoring tailored to individual student needs not only to improve their grades but also to provide an enjoyable learning experience because Math can be fun. While in high school, I was a consistent topper in Math for over 2 years. My tutoring journey began around that time, when I started working with students after school to help them succeed in Math and Science.

I absolutely love to teach and interact with students and that, coupled with my strong academic background, are my key drivers for looking for tutoring opportunities. Note to Statistics students: I've worked with JMP, Minitab and SPSS but not with R and STATA. I can also help with JMP Scripting language (JSL)
