About William
I've spent my career as a computer programmer and data scientist at tech companies in Silicon Valley, so I've seen how subjects like statistics, linear algebra, computer programming play out in the real world.
I'm also a life-long learner myself; I've taken (and struggled!) with many courses, both online and in-person.

Everything complex can be broken down into simple sub-steps. If you can't explain it simply then you don't understand it. That's what I believe.
My philosophy is that students should learn technical material by doing problems *as they proceed*. That is, before you attempt a hard assignment, do some easy problems to check your understanding! Sometimes reading an example problem in the book, then closing the book and seeing if you can reproduce the example you just saw, is a great strategy.
