About Arman
I'm an experienced tutor who graduated top of my class from Stanford University in 2022. My passion for education stems from intellectual curiosity: I love to learn more about the world around me, and I love sharing what I've learned even more. While I majored in history, I've taken everything from college-level chemistry to advanced anthropology courses. When I'm not tutoring, I'm probably tucked away somewhere in the New York Public Library or walking my two lovely dogs.

My lessons are always about personalizing instruction to best meet the needs of my students. On a day-to-day level, I specialize in helping students hone their test-taking strategies, isolate key areas of improvement, and work to help build a stronger understanding of math, reading, and grammar concepts. On a long-term level, I help my students build better habits and manage the chaos of academic life without needing to overextend themselves.
When it comes to the SAT, I'm no newcomer - I scored a 1580 (800 M / 780 R) for my own college admissions. Since then, I've had the privilege of helping over 20 students with test prep, working with some to achieve 400+ SAT points worth of improvement over four months of tutoring.
For a typical SAT/ACT prep session, my lesson plan involves a quick diagnostic, collaboration on a set of practice problems/passages, a review of tried-and-true testing strategies, and assignment of homework problems/passages.
