About Santiago

I'm Santiago Leyva, a graduate in Mechatronics Engineering from the National University of Engineering of Peru (UNI), where I ranked in the top 5% of my class. I have five years of experience in software development and team management. I've developed applications with Oracle APEX, worked with SQL and PL/SQL, optimized queries, and implemented REST integrations. I've also trained clients on adopting new technologies, mentored junior developers, and provided pre-university and university tutoring.

I believe that teaching is a way to share my passion for learning. In my classes, I encourage you to first analyze the problem and create a plan. This way, you can justify every decision you make, from how to join two tables to how to organize the logic of an application.

About the lesson

Do you want to learn how to write SQL queries, program in PL/SQL, or develop an application in Oracle APEX? In my classes, I'll help you understand the fundamental concepts and develop practical exercises step by step. The goal is for you to be able to explain what each part of the code does, why it works, and how to adapt it when requirements or data change.

We'll start by defining what you already know, your current skill level, and what you need to strengthen. I'll combine theoretical explanations with exercises of increasing difficulty. First, we'll solve exercises together, and then you'll apply what you've learned independently. Before we wrap up, we'll review your questions and the areas you need to reinforce. The time dedicated to theory and practice will vary according to your needs and progress.

Depending on your level, we can work on queries, filters, joins, and groupings in SQL; procedures and packages in PL/SQL; or forms, reports, and dynamic actions in Oracle APEX. The classes are aimed at university students, junior developers, and adults who want to learn these tools or strengthen their knowledge. We can work in Spanish or English. Your notes, syllabi, exercises, and project examples are welcome.
