About Hassan

I have previous teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at a college, where I worked with students aged 16 to 23. In this role, I supported students with their learning both individually and in the classroom, adapting my approach depending on their level of understanding and the areas they found most difficult.

My teaching methodology is centred around making difficult concepts simple and approachable. I first identify where a student is struggling and then explain the topic step by step, using examples and questions to check their understanding. I also recognise that students learn in different ways, so I adapt my explanations and pace rather than taking the same approach with everyone.

Academically, I achieved a 2:1 LLB from Newcastle University and a Merit in my LLM from The University of Law. I have also recently passed SQE1 in the first quintile, giving me first-hand and up-to-date experience of preparing for one of the most demanding legal examinations in England and Wales.

I can support students with law at undergraduate and postgraduate level. My strongest area of expertise is legal education, particularly SQE1. For SQE1 students, I can help with both the substantive legal content and the wider exam process, including revision planning, multiple-choice question technique, time management and developing an effective study strategy.

My aim is always to understand a topic from the student's perspective. Having recently been a student myself, I understand how challenging studying and examinations can become, and I want my students to feel that difficult material can be broken down into something manageable.

About the lesson

I have teaching experience, a strong academic background in law, and most importantly for SQE1 students, I have recently been through the exam myself and passed in the first quintile. I know what the preparation feels like, what worked for me, and how important good exam technique and an effective revision strategy can be.
