About Alexandra
About Me
I’m a qualified educator (PGCE) and trained counsellor (Level 4) specialising in University Study Skills, Academic Mentoring, and Psychology. With a degree in Social Sciences and experience supporting students at local universities, I help learners move from struggling and overwhelmed to confident and achieving their best work.
My Approach
I don’t just teach content — I teach you how to learn.
Combining teaching expertise with counselling training, I create a calm, structured, low-pressure environment where students can think clearly and make real progress.
I specialise in:

• Exam anxiety and academic confidence
Support for Neurodivergent & Anxious Students
Transitions — starting university, changing courses, preparing for assessments — can be especially challenging for neurodivergent students or those managing anxiety/depression. My counselling background means I understand these barriers and can help you access the right support.
If you’re scared of the next steps, I provide psycho-education to help you understand your reactions, reduce transitional anxiety, and build a clear, manageable plan forward.

Specialist Neurodiversity Support

I have specific, advanced training in supporting neurodiverse students. I understand that traditional study methods do not always work for ADHD or autistic minds. I specialise in building tailored executive-functioning strategies, managing rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), breaking down overwhelming tasks, and creating dopamine-friendly study routines that actually stick.
