About Daniel

I am a graduate of Exeter University with a passion for teaching languages.
I have been tutoring Spanish and French ever since I graduated in 2011 and have been lucky enough to make tuition my livelihood.

I take great pride in being able to unlock students' potential and guide them through their language-learning journey to achieve their goals whatever they may be.
Because I have studied Spanish as a native Englishman and done so in the UK education system, I know exactly the learning processes involved in learning Spanish as a foreign language as well as the common errors made with grammar and tenses, which means I am best-placed to help students overcome their difficulties as I was once in their shoes!

I have also worked with Brockenhurst College providing adult education classes from beginners through to advanced linguists as well as lunchtime language clubs in local primary schools. I spent a year teaching English in a Spanish secondary school and have worked in the football industry teaching English as a foreign language and working as a press interpreter.

About the lesson

- I offer bespoke tuition with every lesson tailored to meet the needs of the student. More than just conversational classes, I provide tuition in all aspects of Spanish, from speaking, listening, reading and writing to grammar and preparation for exams.
- I am an enthusiastic and patient teacher who believes in instilling confidence in my students and I adapt my approach to the teaching method that best suits the student’s learning style whilst always ensuring I teach Spanish in a clear and engaging way.
- I enjoy making learning a language a fun experience, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in my lessons, and I encourage my students to always give it a go even when they're unsure. Making mistakes is how we learn!
- I pride myself on my ability to simplify the more complex aspects of Spanish such as grammar and tenses.
- My lessons are for students of all ages and abilities from KS3 to GCSE and A-Level as well as adult learners from beginners through to advanced linguists.
- I have a complete and up-to-date knowledge of the AQA and Edexcel syllabuses for GCSE and A-Level.
- Lessons normally last 1 hour but I am very happy to offer longer sessions of 1.5 hours and 2 hours.

Perfect! I was very pleased with my introductory lesson with Daniel, he is incredibly knowledgeable but is also able to convey information in an easy to understand and digestible manner. Daniel spent the lesson getting to know my learning style and also ascertaining what I wanted to get out of future lessons.
Even though it was only the first lesson I felt engaged right from the start and was able to begin speaking Spanish right away. I was able to come out of my lesson with Daniel feeling confident about progressing my Spanish speaking and writing abilities whilst also being able to do so within a happy, encouraging and fun environment.
