About Maria Asuncion
My name is Asunción Moreno. I am a certified English-Spanish translator and teacher. I
have been working as a Spanish teacher in companies for more than 8 years. I work for foreign
labs and for the garment industry. I have always worked in an online environment, so I am
well-aware of their time constrains and interest to learn as fast as possible!

Classes are one hour online, once a week. They can be one-to-one or in small groups.
We follow a textbook. Through the book, we cover grammar and vocabulary topics specific to
the level of each learner. Since we follow a communicative approach to English teaching, we
use real-English material such as YouTube videos, fragments of series or movies, songs, pieces
of news or journalist articles. Students are expected to do an assignment in between classes.
This can involve a piece of writing, a small presentation on certain topic or some grammar and
vocabulary exercises that they are done through an online platform. We are always open to
listen to student’s proposals and interests and we are flexible to adapt classes and content
according to that.
