About Opal

My passion for Spanish developed through years of studying language, culture, and communication. This journey led me to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages, a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics, and a PhD in Hispanic Language Studies. Over the past 13 years, I have worked with learners pursuing a wide range of language goals.

I believe successful language learning requires active communication and meaningful engagement. My teaching style emphasizes practical application, cultural awareness, and supportive instruction. Through conversations, interactive exercises, and personalized guidance, I help learners build both confidence and competence.

Outside teaching, I enjoy researching language development, exploring Hispanic literature, and studying cultural traditions from Spanish-speaking regions. These interests enrich my lessons and provide authentic learning experiences. Helping students communicate confidently and connect with new cultures remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my career.

About the lesson

My Spanish lessons are designed to help students communicate effectively while developing a strong understanding of language and culture. Learners improve speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence structure, and conversational skills through engaging activities and practical language use. I encourage students to actively participate and apply new knowledge in meaningful situations. Every lesson supports both language development and communication confidence.

Lessons are customized according to each learner’s goals and current level. Beginners focus on essential vocabulary, common expressions, and simple conversations. Intermediate students strengthen fluency, comprehension, and grammatical accuracy through structured practice. Advanced learners refine complex communication skills, cultural understanding, and sophisticated language use. Continuous feedback and targeted activities help students progress steadily.

Spanish is a language that connects people, cultures, and opportunities. My goal is to help students use Spanish confidently in academic, professional, and personal settings. Every lesson encourages growth, curiosity, and meaningful communication.
