About Asher
Hi! I have extensive experience tutoring Spanish and teaching English as a foreign language. I also teach English Language and Literature and Philosophy. I was an extremely academic student, attaining only As and A*s throughout my school career, before graduating with a first in philosophy from the University of Nottingham. Given my relatively young age, my experience of school and its concomitant ups and downs still live fresh in the memory. The upshot of this is not just that I understand how to succeed in modern exams, but am also able to empathise and understand the difficulties my students face. I firmly believe that instilling confidence in my students is a key pillar to success, and this is something I strive to do with all learners regardless of the grade they wish to achieve. Tutoring is more than just a vocation for me, and is something I feel genuinely passionate about; helping others achieve their goals brings me great joy. I do this alongside running a business which helps society's disadvantaged find meaningful careers, and feel blessed to have two jobs which I love.
