About Tessa
My passion for Spanish developed through years of studying language, communication, and cultural exchange. This interest led me to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language Studies, a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics, and a PhD in Hispanic Language Education. During my 12 years of teaching experience, I have worked with learners of different backgrounds and goals, helping them achieve confidence through structured and supportive instruction. Teaching Spanish allows me to share both linguistic knowledge and cultural appreciation.
I believe successful language learning depends on clear guidance, consistent practice, and meaningful communication. My teaching style combines systematic instruction with engaging activities that encourage students to actively use the language. Through conversations, listening exercises, and practical applications, I help learners develop confidence and fluency while maintaining motivation. Every lesson is tailored to support individual growth.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring Spanish literature, cultural traditions, and language research. These interests allow me to bring authentic perspectives into my lessons and keep learning engaging. Watching students achieve goals that once seemed challenging is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. I am dedicated to helping learners build lasting confidence and strong communication skills in Spanish.

My Spanish lessons focus on helping students communicate clearly and confidently while building a strong foundation in the language. I teach grammar structures, verb conjugation, sentence formation, vocabulary development, listening comprehension, pronunciation, and practical communication skills. Learners preparing for travel receive practical speaking support, while those settling into Spanish-speaking communities develop useful everyday language skills. Regular feedback helps learners track progress and continue improving steadily.
