About Sergio
I am a retired U.S. Army Sergeant, I am also a retired high school teacher. These two careers have provided me with 42 years of learning, practicing, and teaching the necessary skills to pass on to the future professionals of the world. My two careers prepared me technically, morally, diligently, and professionally to know and teach the means and knowledge to become successful in their chosen field of work.

My approach to private tutoring is very much like my high school teaching method.
With 20 years' experience as a high school teacher, 5 years teaching English in Spain, and extensive experience as an online English teacher to international students, I understand how to support English language learners using effective and student-centered teaching methods. I create lessons that focus on communication, vocabulary development, pronunciation, grammar, reading, and writing in ways that are clear, engaging, and practical for learners at different levels. I use patience and encouragement to build students' confidence while adapting lessons to their individual learning styles and goals. My experience teaching students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds has helped me develop the skills needed to make English learning supportive, motivating, and successful.
