About Maya
I am a recent Economics and Spanish graduate from the University of Warwick. I have a passion for music and travelling. I spent my year abroad in Colombia, where I perfected my Spanish and studied music for a year exploring a huge range of diverse music and culture. I love to bring my creative side to the way in which I approach my teaching, keeping my lessons fun but also informative, as I believe that this is one of the optimal ways to learn effectively. Living in Colombia for a year amongst the locals and culture has not only been particularly integral in aiding my linguistic approach to the Spanish language, but also my entire outlook on the deeper responsibilities and benefits of learning Spanish. These are all assets that I will bring to my lessons in order to inspire my students and aid them in their path to learning Spanish.

I am a creative and sociable person with keen interpersonal and communicative skills. As a recent graduate I am organised, reliable and driven. I thrive to bring my creative side and own personal educational experience to the way in which I approach tutoring in order to ensure maximum engagement and enhanced learning.
I have had experience in teaching Spanish and successfully mentored various students to improve their lexical skills. This responsibility and experience has taught me the key organisational skills, time keeping and commitment required for successful tutoring.
I am looking to apply this experience and skills and teaching to a broader range of disciplines that I have a strong background of knowledge in. I am available to tutor from GCSE through to A-level Spanish, Music, Economics and Maths, as well as, Piano and Violin teaching from Grade 1-8.
