About Joe
Maths has always been a very strong subject for me having achieved top marks throughout school and university, and I love to help others achieve great results by reinforcing their knowledge through excellent practice techniques and making new concepts easy to understand. I have prepared numerous students for their exams and have a particular in depth knowledge of the GCSE curriculum. I have always found it an extremely rewarding experience to connect with and encourage each individual to reach their full potential. As well as my strong experience teaching, I have also developed an intrinsic skillset to help each of my students stay motivated, happy and always looking forward to their next lesson.

Maths is often considered one of the more challenging subjects studied at school, and in a classroom environment it can be easy to fall behind. It is my belief that through the undivided attention of a 1:1 tutor, any student can experience the rewarding nature of mathematics if it is taught in at a pace that suits them - I see things click in students time and time again just by slowing the process down for them and it brings great joy to us both. It is therefore my approach to make lessons a relaxed yet focused environment, with as clear and straightforward guidance as possible, which I believe is the best recipe for both enjoying learning and exam success. I also strive to emphasise the importance of hard work and practice through repetition, particularly when exams draw near, to encourage students to take matters into their own hands to get that top grade.
