About Ashley
Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to be your online teacher this semester and can’t wait to get started. Teaching English is something I’m truly passionate about, and I’m excited to help you on your learning journey. In my classes, I aim to create an engaging, supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions and participating. I believe in building a collaborative atmosphere where we can all learn from one another and grow together. Outside of teaching, I love reading, writing, watching sports, traveling, and cooking. I look forward to learning about your interests too and hearing what excites you outside the classroom! I’m here to support you every step of the way. Teaching Experience: With over a year of experience teaching English, both in-person and online, I have developed a strong understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching practices. Certifications: • TEFL Certification (120 Hours): A comprehensive course that provided in-depth knowledge and practical skills in teaching English as a foreign language. Education: • Relevant coursework included Microsoft Word and Excel, with a focus on teaching students in grades 1-3. • Emphasis was placed on lesson planning, grammar, spelling, listening skills, and effective classroom learning strategies. Subject Expertise: I specialize in teaching English, with particular expertise in: • Language Arts: Fostering critical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills through diverse literature and discussions. My goal is to help students articulate their thoughts clearly and confidently. Teaching Methodology: My approach is student-centered, focusing on active, engaging methods tailored to individual needs: 1.
