I always try to work with my students, not with myself. I believe that any student can succeed given the right environment, and for the years that I have tutored I have learned much about what does and does not work for different types of learners.

My teaching methodology revolves around helping the student learn in their own way. Oftentimes, schools teach students to approach problems in a certain way. However, there are many different ways to approach many different problems, and I attempt to find the best way that works for individual students.
A typical lesson plan consists of a quick recap of the necessary math principles, followed by some common examples of the problems the student will see or specific problems that the student is having trouble with from homework, reviews, etc. During this time I will encourage the students to work as best they can through the problems themselves and try and lead them towards finding the solution on their own so they develop the critical thinking skills needed to succeed.
These lessons are for any k-12 students who are having trouble in their current math curriculum.
