About Isla

I am an experienced Flute tutor with 18 years of active teaching experience. I teach High School and College students along with adult learners who wish to explore music seriously or as a hobby. Till now, I have guided around 300 students in learning the flute. My teaching philosophy is simple – learn with joy, practise with discipline, and grow with confidence. I believe music should be easy to understand and fun to learn. I always focus on making lessons clear and comfortable for students at every level. In my sessions, I train students in proper breathing techniques, correct finger placement, sound clarity, rhythm practice, and scale exercises. I also guide them in reading music notes and playing different styles of pieces. As students progress, I help them improve speed, expression, and stage presence. Many of my students have gained the confidence to perform in front of an audience and take part in school and college events. Some have also successfully completed flute assessments and practical exams. I aim to build not only musical skills but also confidence, focus, and creativity in my students. My goal is to help every student enjoy their flute journey while achieving their personal musical goals.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology follows Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I believe every student can learn flute with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement. My lessons are well-planned, simple, and enjoyable. Motivation keeps students active and interested. I inspire students by helping them enjoy their progress and learn through music they love. I set small targets so learning feels easy and rewarding. Communication helps students understand clearly. I explain flute techniques like breathing control, finger placement, tone production, rhythm, and coordination in a simple way. I demonstrate each lesson and give clear feedback for improvement. Integrity means teaching with honesty, discipline, and responsibility. I focus on strong fundamentals and encourage daily practice with the correct method. I guide students to respect their instrument and value music learning. Creativity is encouraged through musical expression, fun exercises, and simple improvisation. Students also learn how to listen carefully and improve their musical understanding. Along with flute, I teach basic music theory, rhythm practice, ear training, reading notes, and performance skills. My goal is to build confident, disciplined, and creative flute players.
