About Ruby

With over 13 years of teaching experience, I guide School, College, and working professional students in exploring drums with confidence. My teaching approach is friendly, calm, and focused on building strong musical foundations. I believe in making lessons enjoyable so students stay excited to learn. Students in my class learn essential drumming skills such as stick control, timing, rhythm accuracy, coordination, and reading notation. I break every topic into simple steps to ensure full understanding.

I also teach how to apply these skills by playing real songs and understanding musical patterns. I offer related subjects like basic music theory, rhythm training, performance confidence, and ear training. These subjects support students in becoming more skilled and confident musicians. My unique strength is my patient teaching style. I provide clear guidance, positive feedback, and structured practice plans that help students improve without pressure. My aim is to help every student become a confident drummer who enjoys the journey of learning.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for drums focuses on Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility. Communication helps me build a connection with the student. I take time to learn about their expectations, music preferences, and previous experience. I explain all lessons in a clear, easy-to-follow manner so the student knows exactly what they are practicing.

Creativity is an important part of my teaching style. I help students explore rhythms through creative exercises like groove creation, improvisation challenges, voice-based rhythm imitation, and experimenting with tempo or dynamics. Students also practice with backing tracks to develop timing and gain performance experience. Creative learning encourages students to express themselves confidently.

Flexibility helps me guide different types of learners. Some students enjoy visual demonstrations, while others prefer slower, step-by-step practice. I adjust lessons based on their learning style. When a student struggles, I break concepts down. When they improve quickly, I introduce advanced patterns, speed training, or genre-specific grooves.

Other than drums, I teach rhythm awareness and beginner theory. My aim is to help students become confident drummers who understand rhythm deeply and enjoy every moment of their musical journey.
