About Zola
Coffee in hand, I often sit at the piano trying to find that one elusive melody that defines a song. 6 years of honing my craft has taught me that the best ideas usually start as rough, unpolished fragments. I have helped many students turn those raw thoughts into finished tracks.
My background includes a Bachelor of Music from the University of Canterbury. I treat your creative process with patience and a calm, relaxed demeanor.
Giving honest, specific feedback between our sessions is my way of supporting your growth. You will find I am a steady presence in your musical journey. I focus on building your confidence through clear and actionable creative guidance. My goal is to keep things simple and manageable for your workflow.

You will start our first session by sharing a single idea or a rough demo that currently sits in your voice memos. From there, we examine your chord progressions and point of view to see how they serve the core story.
I use my 6 years of experience to help you balance your song dynamics while keeping the lyrics front and center. Together, we explore title development and the mechanics of writing memorable choruses that stick with listeners.
We can spend time on the art of co-writing to see how outside perspectives shift your creative direction. The lessons are designed to be a safe space for experimentation rather than a lecture hall.
I prioritize your unique voice above all technical requirements during our time together. You can expect a collaborative environment where your artistic instincts remain the primary guide. Your music deserves to be finished and shared with the world. Stay creative as we build these songs.
