About Josiah
I began playing chess when I was 4 years old and won my first state tournament when I was 6. Throughout my childhood I competed at various state and national-level tournaments and gave several lectures on opening strategies at the local chess club. Looking forward to engage with aspiring players and establish a strong baseline for competitive play!

I like to tailor my lessons for the specific student so after we establish where you are at with your understanding of the game we can build out your knowledge to include opening strategies (early game), tactical pattern recognition (mid-game), and executing positional advantages (end game). I would recommend my services if you are unrated or have a rating less than 1500.
