About Kayleigh
Hey there, I'm Kayleigh, a recent graduate from Marquette University, where I studied computer science and engineering. By day, I work as a remote software engineer for a telehealth company and genuinely enjoy what I do. Thanks to my flexible schedule, I have time for my passion projects.
In addition to my job, I'm committed to making education, especially STEM education, more accessible. I have a background in tutoring and volunteering, and currently, I'm teaching Cybersecurity at a local MPS school. Teaching and tutoring is my way of building connections, encouraging young people, and giving back to my community.
Although I am in the classroom, I look forward to working with students individually. If you're interested in a more personalized learning experience, I'd love to help out. Let's make education enjoyable for everyone!
During my free time, I love visiting with friends and family. Food is absolutely the way to my heart and enjoy cooking with the people in my life. My main hobbies are rock climbing, reading, video games, and knitting.

- I have experience working in Title I schools and with more "troubled" students.
- I understand what it is like to struggle in a traditional classroom. I worked with tutors myself in my early life when I was learning to manage my dyslexia and ADHD. I figured out what worked best for me and can help you on your own journey. I am persistent and will find as many different approaches as it takes for you to feel comfortable with the material. I will never judge you and never want you to be afraid to ask for help. Despite my own classroom challenges, I graduated high school with a 4.0/4.0 and university with a 3.7 while majoring in computer science and minoring in computer engineering (not easy degrees). I was also awarded magna cum laude and inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor's society.
- my lessons are flexible and student lead. I have ideas prepared but will encourage you to reflect on the topics and lessons you need the most help in. My priorities are your priorities.
- I have the most experience teaching / tutoring math and computer science topics to high schoolers. I am open to tutoring all high school and college level classes in programming, computer science, pre calc, calc I & 2 , discrete math, linear algebra, algebra I & II, and trig.
- I have strong writing skills. I can help organize and edit essays at the high school and college level.
- I can help with middle school English, math, and biology.
