About Damien
Wanting to become an educator from an early age, I graduated from Bowling Green State University with my degree in Intergrated Social Studies Education. I have been teaching in the classroom since 2006. I have experience in several Social Studies classes, but specialize in Human Geography, European History and World History. I have 14 years of experience with these classes at the on-level, Honors, and Advanced Placement levels. I'm Advanced Placement certified, a Department Chairman at my school, as well as a member of the School-Based Leadership Team. As a member of our school district's Social Studies Task Force, I am part of a group responsible for writing our district-level exams. I am also our school district's coordinador for National History Day.

I have experience in tutoring both one-on-one sessions and small group settings. I enjoy the inhanced interactions with students that tutoring brings and the increased personal attention I can provide. I can offer lessons to students in high school taking any level of class, as well as students in community college survey-level classes. My lessons revolve around student feedback and are tailored on an individual's needs, usually revolving around a quick review, a guided assignment, then reflections.
